1. உங்கள் உறுதிமொழிகள் · What you promise

For every contribution you confirm that:

1. it is your own wording; or it is taken from a work that is in the public domain in India (for example a dictionary or text whose copyright has expired), and you name that work in the source field; or it comes from a source under a licence compatible with CC BY-SA 4.0, and you name the source and its licence;
2. it is not copied or closely paraphrased from a dictionary, encyclopedia, textbook, website, app or database that is still under copyright — including modern Tamil dictionaries, school and college textbooks, and machine-translation output — beyond a short quotation, credited to its source, used for criticism, review or research;
3. quotations from literature are short, exact and credited (work, and verse or page number);
4. it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you have not knowingly added anything false or misleading;
5. it does not contain anything prohibited by section 9 of the Terms of Use — in particular nothing defamatory, hateful between communities, or revealing private information about a living person;
6. if you are contributing on behalf of an employer or institution, you are authorised to do so.

2. உரிம வழங்கல் · The licence you grant

1. You keep the copyright in your contributions. You license each contribution, from the moment you submit it, to Oliyon Research and to the public under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. The licence is worldwide, royalty-free and irrevocable.
2. You also permit Oliyon Research to publish your contributions under any later version of the CC BY-SA licence, so that the dictionary can stay under one licence.
3. Material you take from a public-domain or other compatible source is not yours to license; you only confirm that it may be used, and the source is credited.
4. No payment, royalty or other consideration is due for contributions, and contributing does not create employment or any other relationship.

3. நன்றி குறிப்பு · How you are credited

You are credited by your display name in the history of every entry you contributed to. You agree that a re-user satisfies the attribution requirement by crediting "Oliyon Nigandu contributors" together with a link to the entry or its history page, where every contributor is listed.

4. திருத்தமும் ஆய்வும் · Editing and review

ஆய்வாளர்களும் பிற பங்களிப்பாளர்களும் உங்கள் பங்களிப்பைத் திருத்தலாம், இணைக்கலாம், மறுக்கலாம். இதை உங்கள் படைப்புக்கு இழுக்காகக் கருதமாட்டீர்கள் என ஏற்கிறீர்கள்.

1. Contributions are reviewed before publication and may be edited, shortened, merged with other material, re-labelled, translated, marked as disputed, declined or later removed. Every published version and every review decision is kept in the entry's public history.
2. The Copyright Act, 1957 (section 57) gives authors a right to be identified and to object to distortion of their work. You agree that ordinary editorial changes of this kind, made in good faith to improve the dictionary, are not a distortion or mutilation of your work.

5. கணக்கை மூடினால் · If you close your account

கணக்கை மூடலாம்; ஆனால் ஏற்கனவே வெளியான பங்களிப்புகளுக்கான உரிமம் தொடரும். உங்கள் பெயர் "முன்னாள் பங்களிப்பாளர்" என மாற்றப்படும்.

You may close your account at any time. Published contributions remain in the Nigandu under the licence you granted, and your display name on them is replaced by "former contributor". Submissions not yet published when you close your account are withdrawn.

6. பொறுப்பு · Responsibility

உங்கள் பங்களிப்புக்கு நீங்களே பொறுப்பு. அது பிறர் உரிமையை மீறியதாகப் புகார் வந்தால், அதை மறைத்து, உங்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்து, தேவையெனில் கணக்கை நிறுத்துவோம்.

You are responsible for your contributions. If we receive a credible complaint that a contribution infringes someone's rights or breaks the law, we may hide or remove it, tell you, and — for repeated or serious breaches — close your account. Section 14 of the Terms of Use applies to costs caused by a contribution that breached this agreement.

7. ஆய்வாளர்களுக்கு · Additional duties of reviewers

If you are appointed a reviewer, you also agree to: decide on the evidence and the sources, not on personal or group loyalties; not review your own contributions or those of people you have a close connection with; decline anything you believe is copied from a copyrighted work; label offensive usages rather than suppress or endorse them; and keep confidential any personal details of contributors you come across.
