What we collect. For an account: your email address, the display name and optional affiliation you type, and your contribution and review history. For everyone: server-side counts of page views and search terms. We set only the cookies needed for sign-in and form security.
Why. To send your sign-in code, to credit your contributions by display name, to run the review workflow, and to understand which words people look for. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use third-party trackers.
Who sees it. Your display name and affiliation are public on the entries you contribute and on the Reviewers page if you are listed there. Your email address is visible only to the site administrator and to the email provider that delivers your code.
Retention and your rights. Account data is kept while the account exists. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data by writing to connect@oliyon.in. Published contributions remain under CC BY-SA 4.0; on deletion your display name is replaced by "former contributor".
Where. The site is hosted in India (AWS, Mumbai region). Email is sent through Amazon SES.
